Lou I Ieoc
Lou I Ieoc, courtesy name Zongjin, was the third son of Lou Kau. He was a rebellious youngster and often found himself in troubles during his youth days. As it was popular to go study abroad in his times, Lou I Ieoc managed to convince his father to let him further his studies in Japan. Upon his return to Macao, he founded the Hou Keng Publishing House on the 2nd floor of a building at the “Diu Yu Toi” area in Rua de Pedro Nolasco da Silva and used it as a base to propagandize anti-Qing government sentiment.Throughout his lifetime, Lou I Ieoc had been a member of the directorship of the Tung Sin Tong Charitable Society, the headmaster and a member of the board of trustees of its primary school at different periods and remained very participating in social affairs and political activities even when advanced in age.
