Plaque of “Notice on Prohibition of Extortion of People passing by Coloane
“Notice on Prohibition of Extortion of People passing by Co- loane” is engraved on a stela in the pavilion located to the left of the entrance of the Tam Kong Temple. It is a valuable historical relic as it bears a notice by the Qing government issued in 1827 to prohibit officers and soldiers from extorting money from fisher- men passing by Coloane. It is actually the first relic on anti-cor- ruption found in Macao.
