The Pak Tai Temple houses an “inscriptional tablet enlisting name of donors for restoration of Pak Tai Temple” dated 1882, the year it underwent restoration. The contained information reveals that the Temple was constructed during the 23rd year of reign of Emperor Daoguang of Qing dynasty (1843). The ancient bell was gifted to the Temple by devotees a year after its completion. Its main hall is consecrated to the Northern Emperor, also known as Chen Mou Dai Tai (Great Perfected Warrior Emperor) and Yun Mou Dai Tai (Great Warrior Emperor of the Mysterious Northern Heaven). The God of Wealth, Kuan Tai, Supreme Lord Va Kuong and Lady of Golden Flowers are venerated in its side hall. There is another statue of Pak Tai seated on the back of the divine turtle and snake, who are the generals under his command.
The worship of Pak Tai is widespread across China thanked to the reverence that emperors of Song and Ming dynasties had for him. The worship of Pak Tai became a popular practice as temples dedicated to Pak Tai grew in number countrywide throughout the dynasties.
