Founding of Macao Branch of Chinese Revolutionary Alliance (Tongmenghui)
In 1906, Gao Jianfu was introduced to the Chinese Revolutionary Alliance by Lau Yuet Hang during his study in Tokyo. With Ho Gong Iok as the go-between, Gao became a member of the Alliance and his name was listed in the register of the Hong Kong branch of Chinese Revolutionary Alliance. Later on, Gao and Che Ying Pak founded the Macao branch of Chinese Revolutionary Alliance secretively in the building numbered 41 at Rua da Praia Grande, where the confederates engaged in different activities to overthrow the Qing government of China, like manufacture of explosives, plotting assassinations, dissemination of revolutionary propagandas, mobilization of the masses and planned the Xiangshan Uprising.
