Plaque of “Notice on Prohibition of Extortion of People passing by Coloane

“Notice on Prohibition of Extortion of People passing by Coloane” is engraved on a stela in the pavilion located to the left of the entrance of the Tam Kong Temple. It is a valuable historical relic as it bears a notice by the Qing government issued in 1827 to prohibit officers and soldiers from extorting money from fishermen passing by Coloane. It is actually the first relic on anti-corruption found in Macao.
