Pou Tai Monastery

  The site of the Pou Tai Monastery was populated with some buildings in 1927. By 1960s, Buddhist master Sik Chi Yun bought the site and expand the Monastery over the decades. It is the largest temple in Taipa and the most sophisticated venue in Macao for holding Buddhist rites of Pure Land Buddhism. The enshrined gods are Sakyamuni Buddha, the Sixth Patriarch, the Thousand-Hand Bodhisattva and Three Precious Buddhas.
