Lin Kai flea market

When the Lin Kai flea market appeared in 1900, it sprawled over the vacant plot of land in front of Lin Kai Temple and the surrounding alleys. Many children liked to hang around and have fun in this so-called “Dai Tat Dei” (Large Open Space) of San Kio district where story tellers, street performers and vendors of secondhand and old items made a living with the best they can offer.
